What We Do

Linda and Wayne Mendro go to Lubumbashi, DRC (Congo) to help Mama Chansa with the passion of her life: providing education, sustenance and a home for needy kids from her slum neighborhood. She calls her home Peniel House, from Genesis 29, where Jacob sees the face of God. The Mendros are helping to raise fees to send these kids to school: only $200 a year.

Every cent goes to the kids and Peniel.

Our Impact

As of March 2018, 114 sponsors are sending 148 kids to school. We still have a few un-sponsored kids.

Peniel House is not a school; it's a residence and meeting place. However, when a child shows up who has never been to school or are behind their age level, they receive instruction to catch them up.
